Is it? There is a Lotus behind them with SSofts, who would have jumped them had the started on the harder tyre.
At the very least they gave themselves the option to run whichever tyre they wanted to.

So then why didn't they run in Q3? Don't dare to say they were saving the tires.

Hamilton and Vettel in a different league at the moment. Can't help but feel that Hamilton has a little more pace in hand. Alonso not looking like he's got much more pace to give, but could just be maintaining the gap to save his tyres.

Why not? If the car chews its tyres then it would be prudent to save them, especially when they used the extra set in Q2.
They wouldnt have gone much higher than 9th, so you ask yourself....what is the point of running and wasting tyres.
Rather save them and leave yourself with the option to do whatever you want come race day.

Then tell me why did Schumi run some extra laps before driving on his position at start of the race? He could just make one lap and park the car on his position.

If I was feeling loopy I'd say Button has team orders to hold up the rest (Alonso).

That would be loopy seeing as Button is faster than Hamilton and Vettel, and Maldonado and Alonso are slower than him and have a big gap.
