Typical in the sense that they rarely try a different strategy. Starting on primes MAY have cost them one or two positions at the start but they could have gained those places by stopping late. If you are slow, why not try something different?

regardless of the strategy, they would need to run the SS tyres at some stage. The length of this GP (near 2 hours) means getting it out the way as soon as possible maybe the best way for their particular car.

You guys are gonna have me decapitated, but I kind of like Maldonado. He has rough edges and needs to cool it a little, but I think the talent and spirit are there.
