And I'm an Alonso fan.
However I dont think championship over, there are six races left. Anything can happen:P
The issue is, pre this race, hamilton just beating alonso consistently was enough. Post this race, Hamilton needs Alonso to have bad luck, so effectively it's championship over as far as I'm concerned.

I keep seeing people laud alonso for being unbelievable this year, but i dont see it, he's done nothing that hamilton hasn't....he lucked into his championships in 05,06 due to his competitors problems and the same this year.
As for mclaren, there not a championship winning team, there record shows that and there ability to always --- up any given situation.

why didnt they take the grid drop to get the points. Mclaren screw Hamilon again

championship over. Hamilton, move on - i really don't think mclaren understand how to win the championship. Its always win win win which is obviously why they didn't take the grid drop. You need consistent points! Look at Alonso, look at Kimi. COPY AND PASTE
yep we've missed out on so many races where lewis could of finished 3-5, those points add up at the end of the year in a big way.

Ted just said he's spoken to the team about that and they checked it all out and checked the telemetry yesterday and couldn't see anything wrong. Today they saw the temperatures rising in the gearbox, parts overheating and machining themselves, and then failing. Given the blue smoke out the back of the car it looks like an oil leak rather than a stress within the gearbox itself from the impact yesterday.

Could be misinterpreted. He said "we did all we could yesterday" could be referring to his qualifying performance. Tenuous maybe, but McLaren didn't replace *anything* in the gearbox yesterday so they didn't do *all* they could.

i dunno. Bit of a funny way to talk about qualifying. I'd expect that term if he didn't get pole.

any way

come on pastor take out Alonso. Keep the championship alive :)

Sure he has been lucky, but luck favors the prepared. And nobody is better prepared than Alonso.

I don't think so – I think Alonso is the only one who still has to pit now.
