So did nobody else think that Lewis' silver / grey helmet at Singapore was a sign that he had already made his decision, and it was his way of letting people know? The only time in his F1 career that he hasn't raced in a yellow helmet, is when he was just about to announce his departure? Maybe I read too much into it...
