I don't understand this. Hamilton did all the donkey work trying to pass Webber while Button was saving fuel and tyres. Of course the team was going to prevent him from attacking Hamilton. That's hardly a team order, it's ensuring that there's fair play and that the team is treating drivers equally.

It's not a discussion that's meant to take place here. Sounds to me like you're stuck in theory. In theory yes it was a team order. In practise it definitely wasn't. Anyways, we all know what happened later regardless. Button was being opportunistic beyond fair play but still got shown up.

Once a driver has signed with another team but still drives for his current, does the current team not allow that driver to be as involved with the tech since it changes virtually every race? Will this change any race weekend procedures for Lweis or will nothing change except maybe some mind games that may start between the team and driver? Sort of like when a person puts in their final work date and how that then affects internal meetings, etc. just curious if the new contracts will affect these last races. You guys seem to understand those dynamics and I'm genuinely curious if this will affect anything. I know public ally everyone acts like nothing will change, but I find that hard to believe--especially in this scenario with Lewis.

I think some people are overemphasizing the drama between McLaren and Hamilton. What about Alonso and Renault in 2006, when I believe the latter knew for the whole year that their man would be moving to a rival team? It would be a colossal black eye on McLaren for them to abort Hamilton's title challenge.

Looks like it, considering thats Singapore airlines...unless of course they have better freight connections from Europe to Japan? But then again doesn't most of the Formula 1 teams use DHL?

Afaik FOM has their own courier service with 9 747s to fly all the gear of all the teams. The courier fees are included in entry fees.
