actually i think Ferrari biggest worries is Mclaren, Sauber and Lotus. If any of the team start catching up on Ferrari. then Alonso championship race will be over.
This. Alonso can't sit by hoping that teams will take points away from each other. His two DNFs and Vettel's string of wins have reversed roles. Vettel, now, wouldn't mind resurgent Saubers/Lotus/Mclaren to help Mark Webber keep Alonso off the podium.

Did anyone else find this race incredibly tedious last year?

For some reason, the track leaves me completely cold. Its just bland. A few long straights, a couple of wiggly bits, a (in my opinion failed) attempt at a distinctive multi-apex corner.

I think the Tilke tracks are trying to be too many things to too many people.

Bring back Istanbul. At least that had some personality.

Heh, I like that you tell us that Tilke tracks suck, and then demand a Tilke track returned... Not that Turkey is a bad track, just the Tilke bashing gets tiring.

I think he was making a case of Tilke tracks after the one in Turkey, where turn 8 + long straight and tight corners afterwards proved entertaining.

IMHO India track is fantastic. A real fast, flowing track. I just hope Massa will not destroy his car all weekend like last year.

Actually, I personally think high downforce corner going straight into the main straight and overtaking zone was one of the dumbest mistakes tilke made... Overtaking is only partly encouraged by the straight and (relatively) tight corner at the end. It's mostly dominated by the corner before the straight being the kind that allows a driver to get close to the car in front – read, wide enough to not bunch up behind them and get on the power too late, and not too open to need downforce and end up washing out behind the car in front.

Turn 1 at Brazil is a great overtaking point, not because it is tight (it's not very)... It's great because the last (real) turn on the track is just that right speed that allows someone to get a good exit and get a tow down the straight.

For what it's worth, I personally think India is a better track design than Turkey, and CotA is certainly massively better.

Is this not the worst layout after Abu-Dhabi?

Again Tilke had no issues with land boundaries and still comes with this

Nope, I love this track, the only thing it could do with is a little more elevation change.

Turn 1 - too slow; could have been faster right hand flick to make turn 3 the main over taking point

Turn 3 - too wide

Turn 4 - desperate overtaking spot

Turn 6 & 7 - pointless, should have used the bypass

Turn 14 - Why? could have been same radius as 13

Turn 15 - a lovely down hill right hander with a blind apex, but taken at 120 kph? WTH

Turn 16 - heights of creativity

Of the turns in BIC with the exception of turn 10 - 11 every other corner is an abrupt 120 - 150 kph corner.

Last year i found the race a little boring if i'm honest.

Who cares what opinions we have regarding the track!? Next week it´s race time whether we like it or not.

Let´s all go with the flow, regardless of your opinion about the track.

Two DRS zones for this years race, I imagine it will be on the main and back straights. So even if Vettel takes a 5 place grid penalty for a gearbox change he can still charge up the field.
