I want to put notice on this due this happens in my homecountry, Belgium.
At 09:05 the local board at Ford Genk announced that the plant located in Genk, Belgium will close in 2014. Togethet with all the suppliers, this will have a net loss of around 10,000 jobs. The way it was announced was very despiceable: the european and american top of Ford, who made this decision, decided to stay away ("we don't have any time") instead of having the guts to come and tell it in person. Instead, a letter from them was readed. 5 minutes did it took; not a single oppertunity to ask questions. What is even more disgusting about it, is that a month ago the European confirmed the plant at Genk would get new models to produce, ensuring the plant would stay open atleast until 2020. Promises aren't exactly much worth in the automotive sector.
