Ferrari F2012

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

No, they aren't new. The first time we have seen them was 2 weeks ago in Korea.

At least the nose of the car which said it was modified, I see nothing more
Car mounted? To me seems not mounted. Anyway, I don't understand why some of you expect to see new parts on wednesday and/or thursday...it never happened, or almost.

Floor and brake cooling ducts have not been modified in the sense of 'evolution' but of 'correction' (Autosprint)

Carlos Miquel (spanish F1 journalist) said yesterday in a radio (Cadena Cope) that Ferrari has only a small update for India (1.5 tenths at best)

6 tenths with his team mate all the season but two last races. Oh yes, I know Massa is not the same since his crash, at least until two GPs ago. But let's talk about f2012 please, to talk about Alonso you got other forums...

Some slightly different curving and positioning at where the cascade meets the endplate yes. I also think the adjustable flap is slightly different, the lower one being a bit more pointy then the upper one.

Hmm although we will not know until FP1 or 2 to see visible or obvious changes, why do I have this aching feeling that it is gonna be internal stuff and there is more than meets our eyes? Anyone have the same hunch?

We got nothing to lose. But I hope aggressive means going in for the kill.

The cascade wings are not new..they were used by Alonso in Japan and by both drivers in Korea...in addition the upper flaps were used before as well

The brackets on the tips of the exhaust are the same as the have been since they changed to the channel style exhaust. So no new exhaust.

I'm with Jonaliew on this one.

amouzouris. sharp as ever. is it a trend for us to put up the old parts like wings first on a thrus before showing the cards at FP 1 and FP2?

Re: Ferrari F2012

i wouldn't call it a trend..but teams in general don't show their updates early on....and these parts were flown here from previous races...so they are putting those on display
