Ferrari F2012

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Some slightly different curving and positioning at where the cascade meets the endplate yes. I also think the adjustable flap is slightly different, the lower one being a bit more pointy then the upper one.
The cascade wings are not new..they were used by Alonso in Japan and by both drivers in Korea...in addition the upper flaps were used before as well
I am not claiming it were new parts; just highlighting the differences. Is it correct to assume the pointy flap creates a vortice at its highest point?

Hi guys, long time lurker here, i'm just wondering whether Ferrari could have worked on the diffuser rather than on the exhaust?

I am guessing not. Diffusers are at their best now; they might have done something with the gurney flap, but generally a change in the diffuser means most of the time a change somewhere else.

Whatever the changes they have, they i'll only be seen halfway through FP1 at the earliest.

I'm sure the car will be run in old config for the purposes of establishing a baseline and seeing if the upgrades are working.
