If a car cuts the corner like that, but his front tyres rejoin the circuit before the rears leave the circuit, it's legal. I'm not saying that's what happened as we don't have the proper camera angles, but throwing a possibility out.

Ah good point! I guess it is very easier to watch for '4 wheels off the track' in a uni-directional kind of way, this must be what the stewards have seen, and yes, probably does show that at any given time there was at least 1 wheel within the white line. It would be great to see this on video for closure :)

IMO what the stewards look for is unfair advantage. Look over the years - if there's a corner everyone cuts, they don't really care

For example turn 7 at Brazil. Everyone goes outside the whiteline there.

Which one is Turn 7? Is that the right hand hairpin?

Look at how people took Turn 8 Barcelona before 2011.

Actually Turn 8 If im not mistaken
T 6 and 7 (fast righthander before hairpin) is actually one corner when you drive, but classified as two I think

Was I the only one to notice Alo running consistently low 1.30 lap time till Webber had his KERS problem. Then all of a sudden he was doing low 1.29s ?

He was probably noticing at the beginning of his second stint that passing Webber would be very difficult. So he backed off, conserving tyres for a final push in the final stages. Then came Webber his problem and it was a matter of pushing again.

It did not look like he had to. He was quick to pick up the pace when ferrari got to know about webber's kers problem, and he was pushing like hell when vettel was suddenly scraping his floor.
I mean obviously you are conserving fuel too, but he wasn't underfueled like massa was. It wasn't critical at all.

In the live race feed when Vettel's floor was scraping the track, his front wing was resonating (fluttering) although not like Massa's one last year, as i am sure you all remember. The amplitude of the oscillations were far smaller. In the video posted because of bad quality you are not able to see it...if anyone finds or has a video of better quality please post it hear! I would like to have another look at it!

That was just a bit of showboating by Mark! Seb had plenty of fuel. Had he been short, he would have backed off and shortshifted, which he didnt. In fact, during the latter part of the race, he was told that there were no fuel issues. He even went for fastest lap at the end, which you certainly would not do if fuel was marginal.

Also, you don't need a fuel sample at the end of the race, only after qualifying.

It has nothing to do with fuel. It was just a mistake by Vettel.
Q: Were you actually being pushed in by Mark at the end there, back into the pits? Had you ran out of fuel?
SV: Ah yes! I switched off the car. I was told to park the car under the podium but I didn't know how far away it was. I didn't remember that from last year. I think it's the only big mistake that happened to us this weekend. But it didn't really matter and Mark gave me a push. He's quite popular for those sort of things. I think he gave Fernando a lift last year in Nürburgring when he had to stop on track. Yeah, gave me a little bit of a push to make it to Park Ferme to stop the car. Thank You.
