It's a repeat of how they performed in Hungary and Singapore - that car has rubbish slow speed traction.

Interesting with the McLarens. They look mighty on the hard tyres - but they improve the least on the options - just like India. I haven't looked at my entire data set, but on the surface that's certainly how things look.
That's correct. Hamilton only managed a 1:41.9 on the options, he did a 1:42.0 on the hard tyres. I expect another pole for Vettel, but it will be interesting to see what happends during the race after the first pitstop. Hamilton needs to get rid of the soft tyres ASAP.

I think Hamilton has a shot at winning this one.

Mclaren's soft tire struggles continue

If they can sort them out I would make Lewis favourite for pole...

It seems that Red Bulls didn't do long runs for some reason. Neither did Hamilton - though that was surely because he used up a lot of the time doing the one-lap fliers. Alonso didn't either. Raikkonen did a half-assed half-long run.

But of those that did, I have Massa and Maldonator as equal best race pace, with Button 2 tenths behind.

Hey Siskue - How are you figuring that?

My own calculations are reading at Option-Prime being marginal, even with management. Option-Option-Prime however can comfortably do the race - I think the frontrunners will do that.

I'm not a Ferrari fan, but if I was a tifosi I will not be so concerned. Massa was doing a very good lap in his last try (on Mclaren times), but he has aborted it, I supose that he has aborted it for traffic or to not reveal information to the rivals.
But I think that the Ferraris have different settings and differents configurations of the car. I think that Massa is running with the old spect and Alonso with the new.
Are they developing the car to the wrong direction? It's possible. We will see what happen this midday!

So Hamilton is on a different planet at the moment, Alonso not looking too shabby, Red Bull's on their back feet at the moment but will probably recover (especially when the soft tyres go on), and Button showing how he's going to lead the team next year :P

The way Vettel hit the wall is similar to the one Hamilton did at Singapore?

Possible wheel bearing/drive shaft/gearbox fracturing?
If someone said to me that you can have three wishes, my first would have been to get into racing, my second to be in Formula 1, my third to drive for Ferrari.
