Alonso is going to have a tough race tomorrow unless he can do something magical during the start and yet avoid any first corner accident. Vettel should also be concern about this car after brushing the side wall during qualifying.

And sadly, I think lewis pole and possible win at abu dhabi will be a non event as the focus will be at where Vettel and alonso finish tomorrow.

It is legal to do so, but only in the event of imminent failure.
Apparently, they have been doing so the last 3/4 races.

Ferrari have asked the FIA for clarification.

And the FIA have it outlined, it MUST be in the event of IMMINENT failure.
I think Red bull have pulled Vettel over to add a bit of drama to something they want to change... Like the fluid levels.
That's very interesting if true.
So Vettel should run for best actor for the oscars this year. What a performance he did at the interview with that worried and angry face he had

yeah, Vettel brushed the wall... gearbox had strange shift modus from 3rd to neutral.... gearbox problem?
Finishing races is important, but racing is more important.

It must be the gearbox, but they said that Renault told them to stop, doesn't that mean that it is an engine issue?

Take a look at the speed trap figures http://www.formula1.com/results/season/ ... _trap.html

Alonso and especially Maldonado are massively quick down the straights. Both are going to feature in the race for that reason.

Horner didn't say it was renault, he said it was the engineers

Regarding Sebastian Vettel stopping out on track, Red Bull boss Christian Horner said: "There was a request that came from the engine ranks, but at moment I have no idea why."

Engine, alternator, KERS or fuel pressure. But again it depends if Horner was telling the truth. He may well have been but that's not a certainty.

On Sky he said it was Renault's engineers that told them to stop the car. He expressly said Renault.

No sorry, he said moments after that the call came from Renault, he exclaimed that he heard the radio call at the same time anyone else did. Source SKY.

Maybe Horner just likes talking sh#t

"...and there, very much in flames, is Jacques Laffite's Ligier. That's obviously a turbo blaze, and of course, Laffite will be able to see that conflagration in his mirrors... he is coolly parking the car somewhere safe." Murray Walker, San Marino 1985

Or maybe we are seeing the beginning of Renault-Redbull relationship.
