I said that because Red Bull was always on the edge of the rules ..sometimes eveen out of the rule ( Mapping issues , that Hole in the floor )

Then the team should Get the Penalty not The Driver ..
It would have been better if Red Bull got DQ from the WCC and Vettel kept his 3rd place
If that was the way they would be doing this sort of stuff all the time, and if they didn't let Hamilton get away with it why should they let him???
Agreed. They were warned about it the reporcusions. It is an absolute dumb mistake, and they are punished accordingly.

The smart thing for RBR to do is change the engine and the gearbox...

Won't they get the penalty at the next race if they do that?

Will interesting to see if RB will change the gear ratios and a new engine and start from pitlane and have a fresh engine next race. Unless they get the 10 place penalty for new engine.

Could someone give me a heads up about the engines? Is vettel currently fitted with his seventh or eight engine? That could be crucial, as he could spend a ninth then this weekend. If he has his seventh fitted it will not bring any advantage, as he would go to his eight then.

Concerning they were DSQ from Q (they haven't received a penalty), shouldn't that result in penalties for next Q session? Just asking...
And they call it a stall. A STALL!

Penalties carried over, didn't this happen to someone recently, maybe Michael Schumacher? I could be wrong.

He can't take another 10 place grid drop if he is already at the back of the grid

It's a grid penalty, applied on vettel's position on the grid. He starts 24th, so the penalty will most likely be applied this race.
