Weird that the FIA didn't look at marks car, if that was the case? Or is it suggested the system is legal only when used in a failure situation?bucker wrote:I heard that RB8 has two fuel reservoirs, one is for race and other for quali, thats how they can achieve better balance with low fuel car. I try to resume:raymondu999 wrote:Which multiple tank story is this shelly? Got a link?

1)Renault-engines are fragile (they say ...) and then to keep them from overheating and breaking RedBull team has asked to use a liquid to cool down the engine.
2) FIA agrees this system as EXCEPTION for the reliability of the engines. But the rules say you CAN NOT 'USE ANY LIQUID TO BALLAST THE CAR, as it would mean better balance.
3)Other teams want to be able to use the same system of RedBull.
4) FIA says these teams that they can not use this system because their engines are not fragile.
The system uses water, oil and the principle of communicating tubes. The system is controlled by the driver in the race according to the instructions of the team.
RB is not under investigation yet in think, those are just rumors and possibilities whats going on with RB, while Ferrari send a question about RB to FIA (http://www.inautonews.com/ferrari-asked ... JZj6m-ULNV). But i think there must be some truth in this, because RB didnt want to pump out the fuel, because clearly they are hiding something.Cam wrote:Weird that the FIA didn't look at marks car, if that was the case? Conspiracies theory are easy to create. But the simple fact is that the faulty transfer valve was located behind bodywork, and could not be accessed in parc ferme. So FIA had to take whatever fuel was in the depleted area. The system has already been investigated and has been declared fully legal.bucker wrote:RB is not under investigation yet in think, those are just rumors and possibilities whats going on with RB, while Ferrari send a question about RB to FIA (http://www.inautonews.com/ferrari-asked ... Given that the tanks already have subdivisions on them, why would they need a second tank?raymondu999 wrote:Which multiple tank story is this shelly? Got a link?
nobody know how it's working exactly. but if we suppose they have two tanks, one bigger /race one smaller/qualy two tanks are connected with pump. bigger one was placed on spot where car have better balance when is heavier, and smaller one is on place where car have better balance when is emptier, and pump is connected between them working all the time. during qualy they fuel in smaller tank, but when is race they fuel in bigger one, how race is closing pump pumping fuel from bigger tank to smaller, and car always have good balance.Sevach wrote:Given that the tanks already have subdivisions on them, why would they need a second tank?raymondu999 wrote:Which multiple tank story is this shelly?
