Ferrari F2012

adam2003 wrote:Ok. I mean in general like the front wing angles they create that feed air to the next areo device on the car has it got to be exact the angles it flows off , their is no tolerance of 0.1mm for example?
Almost every manufactured part has a measurement tolerance, but in the case of a top racing team, those values are usually known only to a few people within the technical area of the team, designer, manufacturing engineer, etc.
Also, remember these parts flex under load (even minimally), so its shape and angle may vary (even a tiny fraction)
The rear brake duct fins are meant to generate downforce, and they also interact with the beam wing and the rear wing.

They usually do that when there are a lot of parts to test. They split the load and each one tests different parts, then all the info is combined. But I don't like this because Alonso is much more consistent with his lap times so he should be the one testing at least the important parts to get more reliable results.

I'm quite confused. in the 1st sector Alonso is faster than Vettel who had maybe a not so much fuel. I would have declared the 1st sector as Red Bull-sector yesterday. Sector 1 contains a low speed corner and a few high speed corners. According to somebody who told Ferrari has a lack of traction in low speed corners and a lack of DF in high speed corners the RB has to be better than the Ferrari in sector 1.

Notice one car running a new diffuser, different than the India/AbuDabi model. The top one is the newest, with a squared off end to the Gurney flaps, while on the India model the Gurneys flow around the edge.

Felipe has the new FW on FP2.
I think both cars are on the same aero config now.

Felipe's car has a lot better traction out of the final corner, Alonso is always sideways there.
