what needs to be clarified? if the intake/cooling area is greater or equal to published rules then its legal. We have to trust the KVRC guys to regulate the rules correctly.

So from the data does it mean I have a very good top speed but low grip?

Right :)
However, when khamsin guys aren't that sure about something, since some of the rules are subjective, we could all together decide on the legality of a given detail, or else.

This: "We reserve the right to virtually ground a car if the design has been obviously altered to improve aerodynamic performances to the detriment of other performances not accounted for in the challenge."
That could be the case of my airbox. It is big enough, but in real life i would sacrifice engine power (however similar, but less aggressive, philosophy was applied by Mercedes last year)
This would bring us to the solution i suggested before.

Not a big issue, anyway

How long did it take for them to get back to you, after registering?

Its not instant, calm down boyo, you dont have your hommies to instantly sort you out this time

Jules and Nick are usually pretty busy, I got in straight away as I had been talking with Nick at the time but responses from them usually take a bit of time owing to their private lives.

I'll take this as banter for now, but please give up on Formula Sketch :)
Thanks

Its clearly 'banter' as you put it, but as I am not a 'lad' its just being light hearted and messing about.

The fact the guys have said they are going to be transparent with the results will stop arguments.

Championship starts in the new year

Kl, thanks. When are you "launching" your car?

Well the car I entered into the test race was a fusion of different ideas.
When we get the results from Nick Im going to have a good look at them and go right back to basics and build the car from scratch, putting as much detail as possible into it and running flow analysis on it at all times.
A proper launch for the KVRC Championship will be literally just before the start of the season I would of thought.
My intention is to put a lot of time into this.

I in no way pretend to know much about aerodynamics, but my take on this is that unless you really know what the air flow is like over all the little air conditioners/deflectors/etc then there is a real chance that those parts are just messing up the airflow, not helping it... By keeping things simple its easier to make things right.....

And may i ask why your using my 2011 car as a bad example?

Wow. That sounds quite vigorous and detailed. I should be launching my car on the 20th of December because I already have my 2013 Formula Sketch car which is half done. :)

To everyone, are you guys going for the 'simple but effective" approach or are you going "all out" with ideas?
