Ferrari F2013 (pre-launch speculation)

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Why would it look like the F150 when the F2012 was a clean sheet?

The stepped nose wont be gone. Unless they choose a chassis design like the current McLaren.

The panel will only reduce the step. But it will still be there. It will just look less drastic.

So why bother posting in this thread? Which is labelled in the title as speculation.

Question:
Did Ferrari confirm that they have problem with F2012 sidepod and radiator position?

*sigh* Adam, if you look at previous speculation threads, you'll see lots of great information was gathered and discussed. Some was right, some was wrong, some was close, some was way off. There's a lot of very smart people in here who follow F1 developments very closely and hence can add an objective and educated guess on what may or may not occur. You shouldn't begrudge them for that and the tone you use is very disrespectful.

Why not join in with what you think Ferrari may do - or just be quiet, as you're not adding any value and you seem to not be learning the lesson from the negative rating.

No one is forcing you to read the speculation threads. If as you say you consider it useless, there is always the option of staying out.

The F2012 a dog?

maybe in the first few races yes but it was a very handy race car. good traction as evidenced by the result in Malaysia, its always sublime starts and ability to get a decent top speed at the end of relatively short straights.
Its nowhere near as bad as the British media portray it to be. They just had trouble getting it set up for qualifying

In retrospect it wasn't such a disaster, but at the debut in australia, it was definitely not looking good for ferrari.
