Already we see that expectations are being managed when they could never be with MSC. Hamilton is talking of a "journey" and not "championships".

Yeah, the FIA World Motor Sport Council recently drank Hamilton's milkshake. I found it telling that Hamilton spoke openly of a return to McLaren the very next day.

Really?
It's a new season, a clean slate for every team on the grid. Predicting 2013 on 2012 is a bit close minded.
Except 2013 isn't all that different from 2012. The Championship will be Red Bull's to lose. McLaren and Ferrari will be right near them. Then you have every other team fighting it out behind the top three.
Actually I am a fan of Hamilton the driver but nice try. But hey, I'm a fanboy for not agreeing with you, that is a very mature comment.
True, he had a very good season in terms of driving, but I would never sign for my team someone who is acting so childishly by posting telemetry data on twitter for the whole planet to see. He is not a kid anymore and I judge him by the same standards I have for anyone.
I can't imagine Vettel, Button, Kimi or Rosberg and Webber for example doing such things. Hamilton is a complicated personality and although he is vastly talented I have my doubts if he is what Mercedes needs right now. After all, I don't think he has the right amount of patience, but I really hope I'm wrong.
As for Brawn's comments that "Hamilton's arrival will inspire the team to try even harder", they are at least unprofessional. A devoted Mercedes employee should always try to do the best for the team, and I think that this really shows the morale and attitude behind the Brackley walls. On the other hand, its not like they had Taki Inoue and Narain Karthikeyan as a driving pair in the year 2012 and that is the reason for the lack updates.
example, if someone is emotional and spontaneous, he will likely remain like that for the rest of his life. He might learn to control it to some extend, surely, but deep down and when the situations trigger it, there will be a burst of emotions of any kind, a thing we have seen from Hamilton over the years. I take in mind though that in 2012 he was impressive in terms of patience, if we exclude the "twitter-gate"
