Mercedes AMG F1 W04 (pre-launch speculation)

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

That car hung up on the ceiling, has been at Mercedes-world in Brooklands for the last few years.

Something is lost in translation, once again.

If anyone has an exact time for the launch (I'm looking at you, AMG Fans... :D) could they PM me or post it here please?

You know.. I find it a bit "Sad" that this year we didn't get to 200+ pages on the speculation thread..

Something's changed from last year  Also, there have been no teasers at all this time around, plus expectations are not very high, as they were last year.

I see (what I think is) a step - and quite an aggressive one, without the V-nose anymore. More along the lines of the Lotus, or a softened version of the F2012 step.

You can just make out that the sidepod (Petroxxxx bit) is very curved and under cut

Do I see a crocodile nose? And very small sidepods and a ramp exhaust...
Finishing races is important, but racing is more important.

The lights lies our eyes. The nose seems to be stepped, but draw a line from the Mercedes emblem and you will see.

Not so much to comment, Its clear that the car will have again the ugly stepped nose. Its funny because the media and teams were claimming the end of this nose but it seems to be the most efficient solution. Lotus has it, Mercedes will have it and lets see what happens with the rest of the teams.
