Most beautiful F1 car?

As the title says.

With the next round of cars ready to be introduced in the next couple of weeks what seems to be the general consensus on the best looking cars? In no particular order for me it has to include: Ferrari 248 (2006), McLaren MP4-23 (2008), Ferrari 158 (1964)

From winged cars, for me it has to be Ferrari 412T1a from 1994:

From recently I was a big fan of the McLaren MP4-20, and Scuderia Toro Rosso STR3. Going a little further back I loved the look of the early 90's, the Jordan 191 and the Simtek S941.

I think that Jordan have produced some of the most beautiful F1 cars, but my favourite has to be the EJ12.

Pretty much any car from 1994 was brilliant to me. If you asked me to design a perfect-looking F1 car, it would be something like the Simtek S941 (as already mentioned)

MP4/23 (beautifully ugly (if that makes sense) because of the aero addenda),
MP4/6 (Senna's yellow helmet in the MP4/6 is the classic modern era F1 image),
FW14B (not classically beautiful but something about it),
Lotus 49 (simplicity of shape),
Maserati 250F (beautiful sound as much as anything)

Overall, the McLaren MP4/4 is probably my favorite open wheeler of all time. IMO cars of that era are the most minimalist / purist of the modern age. The lines, the livery, performance, and sound all great.


However, there's something about the Ferrari 312B and 312B-2 I really like, particularly from certain angles:

Not a huge Ferrari fan, but the colour of this + the aero bits just make it nice, and it isn't the MP4-4 for a change.

I've always been a huge fan of how the run of Mclarens looked from 05-08, just stunning.

If you compare the mp4/23 to the mp4/22 you'll find that the 22 is much less grotesque. It has more sweeping beautiful lines than the 23. But the 8, above beats all cars in terms of beautiful lines in my view.

The arch-like design is just a work of art.
Proper Ferrari livery too with Agip and Red/Black instead of the Red/White.
