McLaren MP4-28 (pre-launch speculation)

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

I wouldn’t say the last McLaren launch was a total red herring, at least with the exhaust buldges they gave us a glimse of what they were trying to do, no other launch went as far.

As for todays lauch I agree with the above, a refinement of last years car which on the whole was fast lets not forget, massive undercuts and some variation on the DDRS.

I hope so, but we havent seen a McLaren quick out of the box for many years......................
Then how come they won the first race last season?

Another Pirelli miracle.

A bit of luck didn't hurt.

Btw, I'm a McLaren fan. It's not like I start hating the team all of a sudden. It's just that I don't expect the car to be anything special and that they will need to adapt to life without Hamilton.

I hope they are as fast as Lotus to uncover the car.

If they present the car in the same room like all the previous years, this is not the new car

The crease on the sheet looks like the nose has a small step on the top surface quite close to the leading edge.
If you are more fortunate than others, build a larger table not a taller fence.
