McLaren MP4-28 Mercedes

Why do you call them Lotus-kink? It was first put on Ferrari F60 :)

Really interesting front suspension.

Loads of angle on the front suspension.

So the launch car is showing an exhaust solution very similar to last year, only the large covering leads one to believe there may be more to come in that area...

Finishing races is important, but racing is more important.

So far:
-slightly higher chassis
-lotus-alike sidepod intakes
-ferrari front pull rod
-red bull rear suspension
-almost blade-like roll-hoop

No turning vanes under front suspensions. Also harvest air from under front wing for brake cooling which a few teams have done in the past.

Largely similar floor/diffuser (no strakes on it yet) and almost identical concept to last yeah only different sidepod inlets. (Seem to be a little shelf just in front of the lower part on inlet as well).

Those exhausts are bound to change. Currently there is no cross flow.

Is that the 27 in the background? If so, it's a pretty sweet way of sticking it to the teams doing pseudo launches with intermediate spec cars.

As for the 28 it's interesting to see there's no downwash wing or "eyelashes" on the leading edge of the side pods. Could be some significant developments coming in this area.

If you zoom in on this shot you can see the cascade element is from the 27a:
