Interesting ... the nose seems to be "low" (compared to the other new cars yet presented) ... like last years McLaren ... but with a little "step"

I presume the fences (is there a better word?) on each side of the step are in the modesty zone? Presumably they see an aero advantage in this approach, otherwise they would have gone for a full panel.

Looks very similar to the RB approach, almost an extruded version of the RB8 step, or the RB6 bulges.

very neat sidepods with interesting sidepod flow conditioners.. Sidepod inlets remind me of the f2007... I can see very clearly but i think that they kept their nose hole
edit: also cooling inlet underneath the engine air intake

so we have the first car that utilises the panel for which it is not meant to. The hole is actually reversed compared to last year. I wonder to where they are ducting that air. Possibly another DRD?

The way the rear wing main plate reflect on the cooling outlet indicate that the cooling outlet is a bit swollen there.

My mind wants to understand that this gives a room for the DRD fluid switch... the air feed for it could be from the hole under the engine airbox.

Also there is no monkey seat fitted on the beam wing.

Sauber was one of the teams that tested DRD last year.

What do you guys think?
