Ferrari is looking mighty on pace in Felipe's hands =D> =D> =D> bunch of laps in the low 20's

Seems the Pirellis get too hot especially in the rear, could be a combination of their design and the fact Jerez demands a lot of rear acceleration particularly in sector 2. The most important thing is consistency of lap times rather than out and out pace, as it seems(from the testing times) that the Pirellis are degrading a second every three laps.

From the laps Hamilton did I could say the Mercedes has some potential, depending of course on how much fuel they were carrying, but they definitely seem competitive even out of the box like that.

The sad thing is that I am not surprised, another wasted day.

By the way Lotus and Ferrari are giving me a very good impression. As it has been mentioned Jerez is not very representative to know which is the best car but if a car struggles a lot it can be a good indication of basic problems in the design.

All the positive outlook I had for Hamilton going into this season just vanished. Why does Petronas have to have the reliability issues from the start of testing all the way through Interlagos? Spot on with qualifying for the most part but lacking the rest of the time.

Just an opinion...

So Grosjean is now faster than last year. Is it the cars who are faster or the tires??

Looks like Grosjean set the best time on soft tyres, but I think they are out of soft tyres for today and he is still posting decent lap times around 1:18.5.

Rossiter to come on track soon, glory run for some interesting headlines? :)

Force India are really rubbing it in to the works team of Mercedes though aren't they, two days of superb reliability and a metric tonne of data for them to work with with all those laps. The lap times aren't too shabby either.

Red Bull has had a very long day today - 101 laps... They must have got as ton of data the past two days. Certainly a reliable car this year... at the least.

I think Sauber and Force India are sitting pretty, too.

I was half expecting that video to be the reporter talking and then Hamilton skidding and crashing into the barriers live right there behind her

It was a hefty shunt though, bigger than most people made it out to be initially on Twitter and elsewhere...

---

On another note, the F1 Timing app thing seemed to have bugged out for Force India when they switched drivers, I want to know what kind of lap times Rossiter was getting. Autosport mentioned that they were proved wrong when he beat one of the Caterhams :P

EDIT: Nevermind, he's there now! =D>

I wasn't home today to follow the live commentary. Someone knows what happened here? Dry run?
