Formula One tyre supplier Pirelli have said that the final day of testing at Jerez will be used for wet tyre testing after the track is artificially watered. The company also developed a special tyre for this test, specifically for the colder conditions.
There is a pattern of the long runs that Nico is doing. One hot lap, slow down, then continue doing long run. None of the runs look any different in terms of tyre performance. Preseason testing did not indicated too much. Rosberg was matching Maldonado on a race simulation at the first test in Barcelona, and what happened in the race on May ? Maldonado won (something nobody had anticipated from pre season testing) and Rosberg was 7th 77s behind him.Mercedes was there abouts at the start of the season also, just as their preseason testing indicated.
