Have to use the supplied crash structure? :( Looks like a redesign of my rear end then...
yes, as some teams didnt have it, some teams crash structures were completely illegal, so to overcome this issue I supplied all internals

stock championship :(

Not too big a deal as I only have a small percentage of my car done, I have lost creativity recently due to a number of personal issues, I was hoping for inspiration from the car launches but nothing came, hopefully Williams produce something weird and wonderful for me to take ideas from.

At this rate I will be running my car from the test but with a modified tub for legality.

There are some issues with the supplied tub file.

The measurements that the regulations state should be made from the "rear of the cockpit entry template" have, on the tub file, been made from the rear of the opening with the padding fitted. Those measurements (eg the floor exclusion area) are too far forward, so the leading edge of the floor on your tub file is too far forward. This also means the front bulkhead is slightly too far forward since the measurement for that is made relative to the rear of the cockpit entry template.

I thought something was up when I made my tub and compared it to the supplied one.

Richard, your tub was the wrong size completely at the front end of the tub, as for the floor measurements, I can only apologise for this, what had happened was I copied the floor measurements from my other model as I thought my 2 models I had were the same, I will correct this for you all,

Thankyou for pointing this out,

Could you add the wheels and suspension to the pack so that we can run cfd on the car?

it would be nice to have them just so we can render pics without the car looking silly or having to mock up our own.

Tub from V1 is the same as from V2, I have just C+P'd them side by side and they match up

You only registered a few days ago, aside from this I have not had time to process it due to being in hospital with a broken ankle, so apologies for not getting the email to you in time,

yes it is, minor adjustments + new internals, why fix something that isn't broken :D I will address the floor issue

the cockpit dimensions that came into question are a perfect match though
