Ferrari F138

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Maybe we should also use words like "relatively" along with "higher" and "lower." We're talking about racing, and racing is relativity. ("Woah.")

Case in point: the HRT F112 could annihilate any non-F1 car in the world in a circuit race. But, because it sucked in F1, everyone said it was slow. Similarly, if pressure under the nose of the F138 is higher than that under the nose of the RB9 or any other design, it can be said to have "high pressure," even if it's really not.

If someone said to me that you can have three wishes, my first would have been to get into racing, my second to be in Formula 1, my third to drive for Ferrari.

Any pretesting shots of the car? At this time we usually have at least one-two pictures of packaged chassis. [-o<

Shark mouth is better. Is it just my idea or it looks like the intake of an F16?

That was the first thing I thought of when I saw it.

Let me remember 1992 (pre internet/digital age...)
http://www.f1passion.it/2013/01/f1-ferr ... rari-f92a/
Ferrari first attemtps to use the doublefloor (flop) idea. In that year some Magazine (autosprint) has wrote in the pre-launching days, that like some rumors Ferrari would have a sidepod like the F16 and not only on the side but under the chassis too.
Obviously was only a rumor, but to see the Shark Mouth today has me let remember that story.
1992 the Ferrari was something improvisated was a flop in all sector, hydraulic suspensions, aerodynamics, and Chassi etc.

The difference is that today the f138 looks aerodynamics more accurate, like one piece. From the first kilometer looks like they are more competitive and (hopefully) can fight for more races for the victory.

AMuS says Ferrari has new exhaust
Google translated:
"The exhaust is the third version. The tailpipes are now more embedded in the side pods and are farther away from the diffuser. The bulge, in which the exhaust is, there is only indicated."

The deeper recession of the exhausts into the sidepods and greater distance from the rear wing do indicate something like that.
