I agree that his arrival with the team seems to have given them all lift after the troubles they had last year, sometimes that's all it takes, everyone gives an extra 5% and the pace eventually comes. I've just heard on Sky that after all the wet running on Thurs & Fri Mercedes had loads of soft tyres left so they just bolted on set after set this morning, no surprise then that Lewis is going to push hard, the other teams are keeping their powder dry though so its' still hard to tell. This afternoons long run pace looks consistent though.
A slight whiff of Eau de fanboi, but very subtle. Hamilton is new to the team. The car was designed and built without him and probably Rosberg as well. Drivers give feedback on the finished product: they don't design products. I doubt Rosberg or Hamilton have ever designed a Coanda exhaust or have a preference for a pull-rod suspension.
