Re: McLaren MP4-28 Mercedes

Post

W03 thread had 1546451454 pages, didn't help the car much. MP4-28 looks like an evolution of MP4-27, which was generally a very fast car, at least from what we can see on the surface. So obviously there's not that much to discuss, which doesn't mean it has no chance of dominating the tracks. Don't think any RBs had set records for page count, at least not until a tricky bit was uncovered long after it had appeared on the car.

Reason: Sometimes the spam is so funny we need to keep it. This was posted after a pic of Senna's McLaren.

They runined another year :( :(( Why on earth this approach? :( I'm sick of Whitmarsh and Mclaren approach  Why on earth they had upgrades of the mp4-27 until november 2012, if they don't want to evolve the mp4-27 and they were not in contention for the championship :( The same Mclaren approach. Even if the title is lost they still develop the car until november. I don't understand why Mclaren doesn't stop the development of the car when the title is lost. Red Bull, Ferrari, Mercedes all of them uses all the resources on the next year car when it is mathematically clear that the title is over. Mclaren and Whitmarsh continue with this attidute of loosers and they destroy their own chanches. And the question with the design of mpp4-28. Let's be seriously Red Bull evolvs the same car since 2009. Thei turn every stone on the car and under the car every year and they make steady progress every year. And Mclaren started from the scratch in 2011, so two years after Red Bull, and Red Bull goes safely with the same approach, and that is why they win championships not only races Mr Whitmarsh  That's why under Whitmarsh they didn't win anything. He told in November in an interview for The Guardian about their approach not to follow the limits of the regulations (like Newey).
I'm a loyal fan of Team Mclaren but I'm very dissapointed by Mclaren's approach and by Whitmarsh.
I officialy say that until Whitmarsh/Button remaines at Mclaren I will follow Hamilton and Mercedes.
I can't see Whitmarsh face anymore? Why Ron Dennis does not fire engineers or managament after 5 years of nothing?
I simply cannot understand Mclaren anymore.
So, I go with Lewis Hamilton. It's sad because I was with Mclaren all the years (from 1997) whatever driver they had, but it's better with Lewis. I understand Lewis, why he left Mclaren, because they are going for nowhere :(

^What if Jenson is on pole by half a second in Melbourne? Will you love Mclaren all of a sudden? Mclaren have took a risk that may pay off and although I also don't think it will pay off it's simply too early to tell. Judge them at the end of the season.

Ruined another year? A wheel hasn't turned yet!

It's not until we get to the Euro races that we really have any a clue about true form.

I does seem a weakness to start on the back foot and hope you can out develop the competition. It has happened too often not to be a feature of the McLaren process and time will tell if they have more development potential in their car than other teams. I'd love to know why JB thinks the way he does and if anyone here can see where the extra potential comes from I'd love to know.

That post is just a frustrating to read as the Hamilton and Mercedes world champion elect posts on this forum (that you seemed to have bought and will no doubt contribute too now)

Button has been a team leader for most of his career, not exactly unfamiliar territory. He is also very fast and very consistent.Button didn't struggle in 2004 when he didn't have a team mate more experienced than Perez to help him develop the car, and there's no reason to think he will now.

Anyway, I am expecting good things from Button this season. Watch out Perez.

This belongs in the team thread, but the conversation is here so sorry Mods.
What's up with this Hamilton fanbois non sense.

Hamilton was never the fastest driver, its the fanbois that worship him as the best on the face of the earth.

If werent Ron Dennis sabotaging Alonso in 2007, he would absolutely owned hamilton.

Heck even on the fastest car, he either failed at setup (like in spa) or he blames his team (remember the telemetry data he leaked) for how poor he was.

Vettel by far is the fastest driver on the fastest car and Alonso is the fastest on not so perfect car.

You must a lulu fanboy to think he is the best.

Heck even button outperformed lulu in 2011.

Also remember at the beginning of 2010 button is better than lulu but somehow the car suddenly favors Hamilton thanks to papa Ron Dennis favoritism.

I was laughing so hard when I saw the q1 and q2 times compared to rosberg.

There is no doubt in my mind that rosberg would outscore lulu.

He was like more than a sec faster than lulu on wet lap, too bad I believe he compromised his setup to wets so he lost pace when things got drier.

I woudn't be surprised at all if lulu cry on on his team radio later today asking his team if rosberg would let him through.

My prediction for race today is that lulu tyres would get destroyed and rosberg would finish ahead of him (like what he did to Schumacher ofc).

I'm not going to go into the reasons why Lewis is one of the best drivers on the grid because they are apparent to any casual fan of F1 and everyone is tired of hearing about why driver x is better than driver y. I am also not a fan of any driver in particular.

I just have to point out the idiocy of your logic where you ignore Hamilton's significantly better pace in the dry Q3 as you say Rosberg compromised his set up for the wet, yet you laud Rosberg's great pace in the wet relative to Hamilton even though you just acknowledged that Rosberg probably had a wet set up and Hamilton didn't. Bravo

Mods .... Please tell this j**k to maintain the decorum of this technical forum. This is not shitty crash webpage. Who is lulu? Show some decency and if you can't stay away form this forum.

Looking at this car, i can say after some years... wow finally a true FERRARI ... it tastes and smells like our beloved horse...
It reminds me the times when ferrari was so strong in the battles with McLaren... it finally makes me think we can beat those RedBulls (Chapeau to Newey but it's time for a change, and Kimi and Lewis can give us a hand too)
FORZA FERRARI SEMPRE!!!

I want to see Mclaren come back strong and dominate every single race from here, with Perez becoming world champion, and Button to look like a mug.

And Mclaren will be like... "see we were right all along"
