The diffuser slot (as is also the case with the one present on Mercedes W04) isn't actually an innovation of the 2013 car but was instead a development feature that appeared on last year's car (F2012). IIRC, it appeared as early as US GP '12, although may have been tested earlier in free practice sessions.

If they managed to do that in two weeks then I can't wait to see what they manage for other developments this season - very impressive
I wonder who else (looking at RBR & McLaren at the moment) will have it installed...

I don't believe they can copy it in such short time, it must be in development before. And running it in race without testing?
