Heh, so now that the W02 no longer supports your narrative, you switch back to completely focusing on the W03. You then laud Lotus for their 2012 season, while conveniently ignoring that their 2011 car fell backwards just as badly as the W03. I'm sorry the W04 doesn't suck, so you're forced to beat a dead horse with Merc's previous cars. You're writing the same post over and over. Let's all agree to disagree and move on to 2013! Thanks. :D
how do you know??? just because top times in tests for maybe 1-2 win in first 5 races?? And who cares if Lotus failed in 2011? Lotus isn't Mercedes and they after a bad year they comeback with super results
My point was about developments .... I said i don't think they will not keep pace with development but i think in 2 days we will have much more informations :D.
I really want Hamilton or Nico to win WDC because both are fasts.

Leaves McLaren due to too much PR (that I've never quite noticed before).

Joins Mercedes and is immediately pictured advertising blackberry phones and is now a columnist for the BBC.

Wut

Makes perfect sense. More time to himself, so he does something he likes

I think it's more about being able to define what he does and doesn't do. Mclaren don't even let there drivers have unruly hair or show tattoos, d'you think they'd let their drivers choose what pr they do?

nothing about transfer  i really hope he will not become full of money and publicity and with almost nothing in career. Because a driver like Lewis cannot retire with just 1 title!
i think McLaren strictness is good in one way but sometimes is goes beyond normal and those things made him to leave (i hope)

Well, Clipsy I can't agree more with you that a driver like Lewis Hamilton should have more titles, but then Mercedes have to build a superb car these years. Otherwise it isn't going to happen.

Apparently the McLaren drivers have significantly greater PR commitments than other teams. Having your pic taken with a phone and a quick 5 min interview for the BBC* is nothing like having to attend sponsor's corporate entertainment for days on end.

Hamilton said he had "a lot less" to do for PR now, with emphasis on "lot".

exactly its prob no more than an interview once a week written up in a column by a journalist. Its hardly like at mclaren where he would have to fly around the world on the way to a GP for pr events.

on a side note
i wonder if the private jet was something he wasn't allowed at mclaren? didn't he get that after leaving? not sure.

"Signing bonus"

I doubt McLaren would have allowed a non-human quadruped-style canine element in the Brand Centre though.

Webber had a column with the Beeb in previous years. Ian Botham cricket legend has had many columns and it's unlikely he's ever written a word all down to a ghost writer and interview over the phone. It's pretty standard across all sports for certain stars to put their name to a column and do very little towards them.
