If someone said to me that you can have three wishes, my first would have been to get into racing, my second to be in Formula 1, my third to drive for Ferrari.

Not noticed any SLs at a GP for a while. I've got an old AMG so am a bit of a nerd about the medical cars etc.

I bet there's an otaku Japanese F1 Safety Car forum somewhere, I should join that.

Its the 2009 SL63 AMG the FIA used for the 2009 season, perhaps since they now "own" it, it serves as a good backup car (Despite the FIA having two SLS Safety Cars already).

Don't ask me why...but in total they have over 6 cars...(2x Medical, 2xSl63 AMG Safety, 2x SLS AMG Safety Cars).

What's with the wind direction arrows? South is straight up?

In any weather forecast, if you see a wind direction given, it means the wind is from that direction.

And here´s to get an idea of what blowing south means on track,

It means enormous downforce and drag down the straight, and into a corner that doesn't really need it, and enormous instability through the S. Should be fun!

Pretty sure it´s the opposite.

Blowing south (or south west-ish) means head wind. Surely that would mean less drag with a head wind.

Eh? A head wind down the straight means that the wings have a higher air speed, and hence produce both more DF and drag.
