Well i just thought it would be since Vettel only did 2 more laps on the medium at the most then Kimi, but Kimi instead did over 20 on the hard which none of the top teams did, not counting actual pace here tho just actual laps on them, i assume the actual pace would be better on short hard stints like RB and Merc compared to lotus long stints on hard, but i guess someone could check that.raymondu999 wrote:I don't think that matters in this discussion - because RB were capable, like for like, of going through a longer stint than Lotus (in Sepang)
I looked after the 3rd pit stop, i think from lap 34 to 42 they were on the Hard at the same time, then Vettel pitted for Option and Kimi stayed out and there from i tried to calculate how much faster he was then Kimi but i got bored, but just looking at it it does look like its not enough to actually beat Kimi if they would have been next to each other on track, aka i dont think Vettels last stint was quicker then the delta time in the pits, might be wrong tho but it does look like it.raymondu999 wrote:Well Vettel said in the room before the podium ceremony (to Adrian Newey) that "the option was clearly the faster tyre today" - which suggests that they wanted to minimize the time on the hard tyre - leading both red bulls to maximise their existing new sets of options.
Which two stints are you comparing by the way? Vettel's stints on the hard were heavier than Mimi's, and his last stint was on options as opposed to Kimi's primes.

http://translate.google.com/translate?u ... n&ie=UTF-8From the information that I received this morning from Spain shows that the Red Bull team went to the track IDIADA to check new aerodynamic package.'s Likely that the main task of which was brought before the engineers team from Milton Keynes is to test a new system of suppressive pressure of the rear wing. So far, none of the teams have decided to use it mainly due to the characteristics of the object, which took place the first two eliminations this season.
As suggested by the Italian press in the coming days on the track IDIADA should also receive the Ferrari team.
@Pablo (I am Spanish). How does the first sentence follow from the second (a tweet I assume)? Context, please?PABLOEING wrote:BIG evolution in IDIADA test for RB......a revolucionary sidepods and exhauts
