Williams FW35 Renault

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Slightly changed FW, the cascades are not connected anymore, plus rounded endplates.

Indeed, it's a front wing.

Yes, I probably pasted a wrong link that led to another image. Thanks for the heads up.

OK I am a bit miffed. Whilst the car looks like it should be faster than the FW34 - is it?

This car seems to have high speed understeer and rear instability on entry. It's horrible to watch. There must be more wrong than just the coanda exhaust?

at least the aero updates on the front wing increased their pace a bit.

It verifies that their aero department isn't total bollocks.

Last year Maldonado did a 36,2 (13th) in China Q, which was a "bad" result for him that was a regular in Q3 in 2012.
In 2013 the best he could do was 37,1.
Some things changed granted, limited DRS... but with faster (at least for Q) tyres, that is inexcusable.

Yeah being slower then last year rly shows that this car is a step backwards atm, looking at the top times they went ALOT faster then last year without DRS but softer rubber.

Mclaren went .1 slower than Hamilton 2nd place from last year, Jenson went faster than his time in 2012 though.

Compare this with Maldonado being 1s slower... it's a disaster.
