Do we know anything about the tires for next year?
Carcass, same for all four compounds?
Compounds, wich ones have been used in the tests so far?
AFAIK (which means what Italian press reported) the construction is going to be the same for all the 4 tyre’s specifications available in 2007, and is quite different, also in term of materials, from the one used in 2006. Before each race Bridgestone and teams are going to select the 2 specifications to be used at the event amongst the 4 existing. (how to make them all agree on that quite important choice every two weeks is something I don’t even want to think about )persovik wrote: Do we know anything about the tires for next year?

Just a straight vote maybe?Reca wrote: AFAIK (which means what Italian press reported) the construction is going to be the same for all the 4 tyre’s specifications available in 2007, and is quite different, also in term of materials, from the one used in 2006. Could be a quite interesting season then, since the construction is likely to display differet caracteristics depending on wether it is a high-load or a low-load circuit, and therefore will fit the cars to a varying degree.Reca wrote: The difference between the 4 specifications should be only the compound.
The compound used in Barcelona test was apparently the hardest, the one used in Jerez last week was a bit softer, at the moment I don’t know what they used this week, if something already tested or a different one.
what about the "new learning" team that has been faster than Ferrari which is have a good history with bridgestone? Is that mean.... the faster car is still learning with a better time, more lap than Ferrari in the last 6 days of testing? If that so.... meaning that when the "learning time" is over then... the "new" team will be faster than ferrari as what we seen in the last 6 days of winter test!!!!!!Rob W wrote:I am still concerned that the history between Ferrari and Bridgestone will reap them a large advantage in the early part of the season. From news stories about testing a common theme is the set-up learning curve for new Bridgestone teams which must cut into their actual testing time... something which existing Bridgestone teams don't have to spend as much time on.
