Fernando Alonso has converted a four stop Ferrari strategy to win the Spanish Grand Prix after a 5th place start on the grid. Kimi Raikkonen finished second on a three stopper while Felipe Massa completes Ferrari's party by finishing in third place.
And that is maybe the right thing to do, to shift attention towards race pace, because they had strong qualifying pace (2 poles in a row) but in the race they struggled and went backwards rather than manage the pole, get the stints done and win the races.Mestrades wrote:I have the impression that Mercedes hasn't shown his full potential on these practices. It happened before in 2009 when it got worse before it got better. Just a fun predication though no facts.
