Ferrari F138

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

I see turning veins for the ray mouth?
I believe those have been there since at least China, the line up with the leading edge of the chasis mounted portion of the turning vanes. You can see where they meet in this pic:

Or it could be an answer for the lost front wing problem, maybe this is more about strengthening the structure than aerodynamic?

So did I hear this right? We are going with the longer style exhaust. I was really hoping to see the wrap around vanes that Massa ran in P1 Spain. But with this unique track I don't know the correlation.

Did they ditch the new sidepod idea they use in fp1 in barca? Any sight of it in Monaco?

No need to bring that stuff here cause its useless to test it at Monaco anyways, better to bring it to a real racetrack to test.

Hello Marco, welcome. I do not believe that is for DDRS. The area in question has been on the car since the launch of the F2012.

Agree and it's exactly what i imagine, but it also destabilize the RW in high speed corners (i heard it in a Ted Kravitz notebook at Barcelona test this winter)...that's why some teams (Ferrari,RB,Mercedes) do not use it from this year...anyway i think that here Ferrari will use it
