Ferrari F138

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

I know. Sometimes it only takes a page or two within a thread here.

Ferrari F138 - 'monkey seat' evolution
ImageImage

Unusually, two teams have arrived in Monaco with near identical design evolutions - and ones never seen before on other teams' cars. On both Ferrari's F138 and Williams' FW35, the 'monkey seat' in the lower part of the rear wing now has a flap with a slot in the endplates, very similar to the slots Renault used to have in their main rear wing endplates.

but what is more astonishing is that williams interpretation is almost exact like F138.....

Looks like Ferrari were also swapping tyres, this time on the front (compared to Mercs rear wheel swap).

The wheel should move in the same direction you read the text i.e. left to right.

I am pretty sure the text will read always correctly, regardless how you put the wheel on or how you swap them :)
