Can somebody make a comparison between the monaco and montreal gearboxes? I think they had to shrink it in order to get the new bodywork to fit.

I could be wrong, but it looks a bit slimmer at the underside near the rear crash structure.

I do not see that the gearbox has really changed, not as much as the engine cover anyway. The engine cover is quite a large flow change, I have to wonder if they have enlarged the ducting to the lower ducts to compensate for the upper duct now being smaller. That or venting could be more than adequate which allowed them to close the upper vent a bit, good for them if that's indeed the case.

They (Merc) ran the notched exit a couple of years ago as well

They don't have a stick on 3 pointed star anymore...its painted...that's got be worth a tenth or two considering how high up it was...CoG ppl!

yes they can but that's darker since its a used exhaust

Indeed, looks like a tungsten steel ballast - the estimated weight of this piece is about 8 to 10 kilograms.
