Ferrari F138

neat new r-shaped winglets.

Maybe the wing actually was an canada one only. But I am a little bit surprised not to see the nose hump. Could be that they do not work with the r-shaped winglets?

New R winglets, and it looks like the shape of the cascades are new as well. They seem flatter, and maybe wider?

Edit: on closer inspection the cascades have are the same as Monaco.

On Sky, in the morning, they said that Ferrari didn't have updates on the car yet, that updates are still coming to Silverstone. Did they installed them on 2nd practise or are they coming for tomorrow?

Ferrari must have been running a program in P2. Wonder why so low 10th?

Maybe as this is an evolution of last years weak car they are hitting the.development ceiling.

So based on that they were lower on a practice session you conclude that they hit the development ceiling? Pure bogus.

I was surprised to see the non-pelican nose and no 'bridge' on sidepod. Wonder if either will make a return tomorrow.

Massa said Fernando's car was performing pretty well though, and average laps on longer runs was competitive.

I hope that's not the case but other than the exhaust. SF haven't made any drastic changes. IMO I was surprised to see the wrap around the side pod in Canada. Wasn't present in P2 today either. But as mentioned above; updates are coming in P3 apparently.

Did sound somewhat positive. Wonder if they make any improvement in Qualifying?
I hope Alonso has the bridge. I love the look of it.

Re: Ferrari F138

I'd blame it on the relatively cold track temps of 19 degrees and the conservative tires. I don't think this is squarely a development thing or a crappy setup thing. They just can't heat up the rear tires very effectively.
