Yes, I have speculated in everything from VW to Peugeot on PURE, but when it comes to changing one's mind, I'm just as flexible as yourself WB. Now I find it difficult to believe that Gilles Simon is vacationing in Japan.

It should have been obvious to all of us two years back, Pollock and Honda, rings a bell?

Where did you pick up that Japanese location of Simon? I would have thought that Honda don't need Ferrari know how when it comes to turbo engines. Also Toyota are unlikely to cooperate with a Honda straw man the way they did with PURE. But I have heard stranger things happen before. Sometimes horses puke in front of a pharmacy, as they say in Germany.

And if your info is correct there is still the possibility that Honda snapped up Simon when the original investor pulled out. ?? The way PURE spent money is just not Dennis' way of operating. Much more Mateschitz if you ask me.

Listen WB, Ron never paid a penny, Pollock conned the EU to shell out a couple of MEUR for the basic design work, when all was done a 32 GB flash drive was delivered in Tokyo. Gilles Simon is there as a token of MrT's understanding of the deal.

Aber was ist das fur etwas, warum sollen wir die tinge enkelt machen?

This is a fascinating mixture of rumors and interpretation, X! It might have happened that way but without the sligtest trace of a source it is difficult to believe such things. I'm sure you are not making it all up, but it would be much more convincing if you have a source for some of the astonishing details.

Sometimes you must allow your mind let go a bit WB, surely Dennis and Pollock might seem like a rather odd couple, to xpress it diplomatically, but where do you go when you're running out of money? Think about it, Pollock-Honda-McLaren?

All was of course orchestrated by MrT, who happens to be big in Japan?

Engineers at Honda R&D has been playing around with the new spec 2014 F1 engine since 2011 on there own time just like the WTCC engine. When the boss told the engine engineers that they was going to race WTCC in 2013,they told the boss they already had a engine on the dyno! Thats why they was able to race the last few races of 2012.

Gilles Simon is at Honda R&D Tochigi Japan right now working on the new Honda F1 engine.Honda picked a European to be in charge of the project because they finally learned by their mistakes the last three times they was in F1.When they put their own people in charge, things get lost in translation and the project fails.F1 is a Euro sport and most of the people are Europeans so it should be run by a Europeans,so there is no lost in translation!

I would not take it as the holy gospel. The only source I found was speculating and not reporting facts. Secondly I'm still of two minds over the original investor of P.U.R.E. what kind of sense would it make for Honda to take three different investment decisions? PURE were first set up in France, then in Toyota's premises and now finally in Japan. Extremely unlikely that this was the plan by one original investor. I still find it much more likely that Didi started it and Honda snapped it up when Didi dropped it.

Difficult to see Mateschitz suddenly dropping it like that, Ron Dennis did the unthinkable, lining up with Craig Pollock, while the french connection funded the escapade with EU-money. When Honda was satisfied with having the man who wrote the engine-rules on board, they ok'd the plan.

Ron got out of Mercedes, Honda got back into F1 for a bargain, MrT had another manufacturer and Pollock looks good again.

Everybody's happy, including MrE.

But the talk of Jaques returning I very much doubt. Though he's big i Japan.

Where did you get the idea of that EU money. If it was a public budget something would be documented. Is that a rumor that you came across, or is there any substance to it. The money trail usually is the best to follow and I would be intersted to see some evidence.

"Propulsion Universelle et Recuperation d'Energie"

How french can you get?

Pollock is a Montraler, cest bon.

Half of France is paid by Germany's taxpayers anyway through EU, what's another 10 MEUR?

MrT is as french as camembert.

Need any more evidence WB?

Taken from the updated 2014 Sporting Regulations.
29.5
No car is permitted to consume more than 100kg of fuel, from the time at which the signal to start the race is given to the time each car crosses the Line after the end-of-race signal has been given. Other than in cases of force majeure (accepted as such by the stewards of the meeting), any driver exceeding this limit will be excluded from the race results.
Dear FIA, if you read this, please pm me for a redesign of the Technical Regulations to avoid finger nose shapes for 2016! :-)

Ok and the rules for fuel flow rate limit still stands correct?
Because if they don't then teams can get as much fuel flow as they like, as long as they don't use 100kg over a race distance.
And that bodes well for races with safety cars, or low fuel consumption.
For Sure!!

Fuel mass flow is in the technical regulations. It is unchanged vs the last edition from December 2012 in todays new release.
