it was closer than I thought, have to admit. Although closing the gap and overtaking are two different things (especially for Alonso).

Things to take away from this GP. Its Vettel's championship to lose and good on him. The Lotus's and Kimi are still in the fight. Mercedes tire problems are still there, Hamilton really lost an opportunity last weekend. What a tense race that was.

What pleased me was the tyres performance...they actually allowed most drivers to really race..and I mean really race. The fact that Vettel mentioned that every lap he had to push hard meant he knew the tyres would last. The fact that the tyres lasting as they did allowed Romain, Kimi and Vettel and Alonso to really do some hones racing.this is the racing I enjoy in F1.

RBR's key weapon was acceleration...I mean even without KERS sometimes Vettel was like 12-15kph faster out of the corners before DRS activation zones...That was insane! Maybe not the best top speed but certainly that wasnt a problem.Well well deserved victory no matter how much you love or hate the guy.
As for the Mercedes it was clearly visible how the illegal tyre test helped them huh? /sarcasm
