Ferrari F138

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

I don't know when did they introduced that, but definitely not knew.

Isn't this a new air cooling exit with grills just after the exhaust exit? Instead of the current "one hole" design?
Or just a silly light reflection?

If you are talking about the front wing then the reasoning behind that is simple. All the different planes work together as one big wing with the flow from each one going on to the next plane and stopping it from stalling. If you look at the rear wing the leading edge of the profile is actually pointing down, not up (if looking at the wing from the front looking back). It is the same concept with the front wing. By pointing the first wing element down then it pushes more airflow under the wing which means that later elements can be run at greater angles without stalling and worked harder to produce downforce or change the direction of airflow

If someone said to me that you can have three wishes, my first would have been to get into racing, my second to be in Formula 1, my third to drive for Ferrari.

Interesting how this one doesn't have the exhaust part of the sidepod. I hope it's something new and interesting
in that area.

all it shows is that the sidepod is made up of multiple parts and in that photo most parts are missing

Exactly why it might have changed, ferrari showed the tips of those a few weeks back but now it might be hidden for now
