Just checked the weather on Meteo Group, and its looking good all weekend, 27C Sat, 26C Sun, good skies with some whspy white stuff, nothing much.

Thank god, as i thought i was taking the Glasgow weather with me!

1 stopper for anyone outside the top 8 (Prime/Option) and 2 stoppers for top 8 (Option/Option/Prime) as pit-lane loss is about 24-25 seconds.

If someone said to me that you can have three wishes, my first would have been to get into racing, my second to be in Formula 1, my third to drive for Ferrari.

Since it will be dry I think it will be a lot closer than it was in Spa or Canada simply because the teams will be able to run through their tire program and see how the tires will work in the race instead of having to guess which compound will suit them best. Furthermore, teams won't have to compromise setup in case it rains.

With the difference between fresh and old tyres quite small (in laptime terms) in Monza (as the lap is a lot more power-limited than grip-limited) and with the pitlane at 80kph since the pitlane shenanigans earlier in the year, I'd say that a 2-stop will be the wrong way to go, for any team. Even for tyre-hungry teams, a tyre-managed 1-stop will be far superior to the push-push 2-stop.

This is what is heading to Monza:

I can't tell, however, if this is a front wing used for transportation purposes or the one which is going to be used at Monza.

Yes it seems a quite strange front wing... With only three(?) element, but that two vertical deflectors are totally new and there are not cascades and also the wing with Sheel logo is single profile in my opinion.

A really aggressive technical update for Ferrari?

Certainly, we don't know if they are going to race it. 'Prima vista' shows single main flap element, as opposed the usual two slots so far, two vertical elements (a la Lotus and Mclaren). Let's see.
BTW, full hi-res snap from 2012:

What on earth for? 2 sets?

Will teams have new wheel system here? I mean that double protection system for stopping wheels come off the car!

It's crazy when you think that they used to race on this part of the track. I would love to take a walk around the oval sometime.
