Why is it alarming with spoon wing ? Teams have been running them on low downforce circuits since 2009. Also its nice to see they finally made updates to their FW.

Here is to hoping that sauber can make some big advances with its passive DRS and be able to put some pressure on some of the bigger teams. Good competition is always healthy for a sport!

Its big wing as its mated to the Drag Reduction Device, note the inlets fitted to the roll hoop.

They will test the DRD system and keep on the low downforce wing on saturday

I see that they're running plenty of rear wing and relying on their DRD to relieve it on the straights. Let's just hope for their sake that the DRD works properly and doesn't stall the wing unexpectedly half way through parabolica.

I figured as much, but it's still amazing... Must be a very effective thing, their DRD, when they are willing to fit this wing... Or, it could be a question of a lack of funds, unfortunately...

Can they decrease AoA because of DRD pipe?

It is a standard to high downforce wing. Even with DRD the drag will be quite high (stalling the wing does not remove all the drag).

They aren't intending to use it I think. This is for testing purposes only. See it as a free straight line test.

Don't get too excited. That's just a cover used when they are moving the car around on wednesdays / thursdays. And why does that photo has your name and Twitter all over it?
