They tried to have massa slipstreaming alonso, like last year. I am absolutely clueless why they persist in that. Last year did show that they loose time with that, given massa was faster when he drove a normal lap.

Good job by both red bulls and hulk in particular. Kinda fail q3 by ferrari with this towing stuff. Massa said even last year he did his best lap when he didn't have to bother with the towing and that it's much better to just go the simple way. Hamilton can blame himself if you ask me, made an error and paid for it.

He was concerned about traffic.
No. He called his own team idiots. In italian. I wonder how he can get away with it.

Yup, found it

Oh dear. @therealdcf1 says an Italian journalist says Alonso said over the radio the team were "all stupid" for messing up the tow attempt
EDIT: He actually said ironically "you're genius"

Alonso is blinding off the start, I wouldn't worry too much. He'll be right up there within a couple of laps.

i dnt think so, here it will be difficult to overtake and even if does so in couple of laps , by tht time vettel will be in 5-6 seconds lead and race will be over.. u believe in magic and its not gonna happen..i bet you they gonna sabotage webber's car , he will not again get a decent get off , if hulkenberg takes down vettel to gravel , he may end up getting ferrari contract on spot.

Brainfart for Hamilton. You don't see Vettel or Alonso do these mistakes in a critical stage - not at least in bone dry conditions.

Not geniuses, but fools. I am italian and correctly understood even if the sound of the spanish speaking Alonso in italian could have been misleading. All this in the face of Montezemolo, Piero ferrari, the top brass from Fiat and lots of vip guests. They'll face an interesting afternoon, methinks.

I can imagine some jaws of top-management faces dropping in the Ferrari garage after Alonso's radio message. And probably some heads of not-so-top-management people too.

Anyway, the towing technique seems to be useless. I don't know why they still tried it.

Frustration from 4 successive years of not winning any major title coming to the surface.

Alonso tried to act completely the opposite during the interviews, but this time damage can't be controlled. I fear someone will get the axe at ferrari, being either alonso, massa, domenicali or somebody else, but the whole team just looks ready to ignite.

I don't speak italian but I am spanish.
When you say what a bunch of idiots on spanish, it could mean too he is including himself on that group.
Don't know what it was the whole radio transmission but it could have done the comment after seeing it was not going to work and call himself and the group bunch of idiots for missing an opportunity.

But let's see. He was committed from the beginning to that strategy so it really surprise me that he call the team idiots from the track as it is a surprise.

I believe it is a bit premature to see what it was the real meaning behind it. Passion + word idiots sometimes can bring misunderstandings too.

I would love to hear all transmission before any conclusions
