Can Williams Close the gap?

Post

Three races so far, and three wins for Schumacher (Snr)...This does not look good. Then again things where looking worse for Williams last year and just look what happened...Can Williams close the Gap again? What do you lot think?

Hummmm, just thort. Maybe the gap isnt as big as we would think. You see both the first two races where much colder than expected...and the Michelin's work better in hot conditions. In malaysia where it was still very hot Montoya was only a little way behind Michael. Okay this doesn't explain Bahrain but it could be that bahrain happens to suit the Ferrari's (Like Catalunya or Silverstone)...so is the gap really THAT much? or is there a gap at all? I guess we will have to wait and see

well ,Ferrari had an advantage at bahrein as Fiorano has the same track surface ,made by shell applied on it,so they knew a thing or two about what to expect.
Interestingly enough there were teams not even visiting the place before..or unable to rethink their simulations after seeing the track...strange.
Mybe ferrari had luck that it was not as hot as expected but who knows if michelins advantage in hot conditions is still a fact?
It is a dangerous misconception that things will stay as they were because
it was that way last year.
Ferrari is well aware of their competitors and they have had their machine up and going without any hiccups. And:they have tested a lot less then Mclaren and williams so they might be able to find something in setup still, whereas Williams should know what they have inside out with closed eyes. The question is if they are able to adress the weaknesses of their concept.Inmy eyes they did not work too much on the rear compared to last years car so maybe they have an area where gains are to be found.
I fear it will not be enough, especially when Mr Head has nothing to do as slam his drivers performance and BMW putting the responsibility for the engine failure at the door of a supplier.....weakness,lack of confidence are lurking....no no Ferrari ersus BAR and possibly renault.
