Williams FW35 Renault

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

I've taken that into consideration. The actual wing area still looks quite small. I've tried to look for different pictures where that particular wing is mounted, but without any succes.
The angle of the photo and the fact that Pastor is steering plays with you.

Here is a better shot.

Kudos.

I wonder why they change their FW that radical with just a few races to go.

No doubt multi steps FWs will still be in effect next year, so even if it's too late for the FW35 it's good to learn something about them.

The team was also suppoused to be getting a new exhaust, but Symonds deemed it too expensive for the performance.

This new cascade element is for sure causing a vortex. I wonder where the vortex goes? Upper inside edge of the tyre or rather somewhere for near the brake duct?

If you're talking about where the red arrow is in the image above, it goes outboard of the front tyre.

This cascade is for management of upper wake of the front tyres.

Is it just camera angle, or does that bottom wing look like 2014 width??
Favourite driver: Lando Norris
Favourite team: McLaren

Turned down the chance to meet Vettel at Silverstone in 2007. He was a test driver at the time and I didn't think it was worth queuing!! 🤦🏻‍♂️
