Vettel wins the title if:
- Alonso wins, and Vettel finishes P5 or above
- Alonso finishes P2 and he finishes P8 or above
- Alonso is out of the top 2
Alonso finishing P3 means Vettel clinches the title on countback
Interestingly McLaren was better and faster last year but they still failedSectorOne wrote:Interestingly, he´s had a superior car for 4 years straight.
Interestingly, the Buddh circuit fits the Red Bull like a glove for years.
Interestingly, there´s nothing interesting left about the championship.
Interestingly, 2014 might actually be interesting.
We must have watched different seasons because the Mclaren was in no way better then the Red Bull last year.LionKing wrote:Interestingly McLaren was better and faster last year but they still failed
Yes the Red Bull was the quickest a lot during the season. Overall they were more or less equal in low fuel.LionKing wrote:That is the usual BS that is put forward:
Right Red Bull were quickest
That is why McLaren won 5 on 10 races in the 2nd half of 2012 , RBR 4. Two more wins lost to reliability otherwise it would have been 7 out of 10.
McLaren got 6 poles to RBR's 4 poles.
Secondly reliability of RBR were very similar last year 3 real retirements each...
I really don't want to answer these arguments. The results are obvious and for everyone to check. Anyways...SectorOne wrote: Yes the Red Bull was the quickest a lot during the season. Overall they were more or less equal in low fuel.
Vettel spent the most time in first place all season. Webber spent 4 laps less then Hamilton in 2nd all season.
Vettel completed 18 races, Hamilton 14.
Webber completed 16 races, Button 15.
Vettel led the most laps during the season.
Vettel had the most wins, second most podiums (10 versus 7 for Ham)
Red bull had one more podium then Mclaren.
Same amount of wins.
One less pole position for Vettel. Equal amount of pole positions.
Most fastest laps for Vettel, nearest rival had 2.
7 fastest laps in total for RBR, 3 for Mclaren
1162 laps completed for Vettel
57 more then Button
117 more then Hamilton.
You know the argument is weak when they start of with "That is why McLaren won 5 on 10 races in the 2nd half of 2012"
Because taking in all the facts would actually show the real picture. And the real picture says that over a season they were pretty much equal in low fuel dominance, they just had different sweet spots for various tracks like the Asian rounds fitting perfectly with the Red Bull.
And that the Mclaren was in no shape a better car then the Red Bull with it´s far worse reliability.
Mclaren had 7 retirements to Red Bulls 3, specifically Lewis retired 5 times and Vettel retired only once. Many believed Lewis would have won the championship if he was just a bit more lucky and if his car had been a bit more reliable. Funny how quickly people forget what happened less than 18 months ago.LionKing wrote:Interestingly McLaren was better and faster last year but they still failedSectorOne wrote:Interestingly, he´s had a superior car for 4 years straight.
