I take it you do not have a driving license. Or i´m guessing you are the sort of guy coming full speed on the ramp on to the freeway and just expect people to jump out of your way.

Alonso is the one that´s entering the racetrack, he´s the one that should be cautious.

I get that Alonso was determined to stay ahead of Massa even though Ferrari messed up his pit stop and put him on inferior tires but if i was a steward i´d slap a drive-through penalty right across his forehead for not just leaving the track but OVERTAKING outside the track limits.

A, could have used the brakes, he is after all entering the race track, not Vergne.

B, if he realized his mistake, let him past, DRS him on the straight after which was his "plan A".

He would not have to worry about Massa, they did everything they could to hold him back and could have just pulled on his leash a bit if he got too close to Alonso.
Well, Vergne agrees with me , not you , so....

Even gambling is not luck when you get smart guys playing the game. He stacks the odds against himself people. It's not luck. Another example...say Hamilton starts a race and 7 laps before his target pit point, a gap opens up. Do you bring him in early when he can't even keep tires for a normal stint, or you just let the gap go? Hopefully, he understands that he's upsets his race strategy more so than others.

I think he's getting desperate for the Win against Vettel. It's not really about judgement. It's about forcing the issue.
He probably rationalized being second in the race vs trying to be in front of Vettel in the first stint.
That move for the inside invited webber to fill the gap directly behind Sebastian. Had Lewis stayed behind Vettel, he probably wouldn't have beat him, bout would have been in good position for a podium.
He seems to be going for High downforce setups that can only be used when you start from the front row. He's basically copying Vettel, trying to fight on the same level if the opportunity arises, which it hasn't, and hoping a time will come when he's behind vettel after lap one or ahead of him.
I don't think he cares about finishing behind with good points. This can be harmfull in terms of constructors points.

Yes he is stacking the odds against himself. I guess if it works it will look like genius. Nothing beats a win.
For Sure!!

Hamilton should have just stayed behind Vettel into turn one. With Vettel pulling away anyway, being second would have meant clear air which would have been good for Hamilton's setup. It would have been tough to stay ahead of Webber, but he should have stayed third ahead of Rosberg.

It´s easy to be after smart in those situations. Sometimes you just end up in a bad place.
At the end of the day being in the wrong place in the sharp end of the grid is far better then being right in the mayhem where all hell can break loose.

I don´t think he was quick enough regardless of what happened in the start. Even in free air.
Some bad luck coupled with some bad races and Rosberg waking up means the gap is getting very small.

Kimi Raikkonen post race:

Post race final thoughts:

My opinion, I do hope Kimi doesn't race again for Lotus, they don't deserve his services especially when they're not paying him.
If someone said to me that you can have three wishes, my first would have been to get into racing, my second to be in Formula 1, my third to drive for Ferrari.

He shook hands with Chuck Norris.

So apparently the pay dispute between Lotus and Kimi Raikkonen is over says Mansoor Ijaz:

Interesting that it happened after the Abu Dhabi GP...that would mean Kimi or his manager made a statement that they would refuse to race the last two grand prixs.

I don't buy it. It could also mean that (IMO most likely) the deal with Mansoor Ijaz (i.e. Quantum) was done after the Abu Dhabi GP, allowing the team access to funds that would allow Raikkonen's salary to be paid

So Kimi and his manager should simply do this?

No. Lotus already knows the status quo. So once Mansoor Ijaz and his quantum money came in, Lotus immediately moved in with the payments.
